Installing Microsoft Windows Operating System to DigitalOcean’s Droplet is impossible using conventional methods due to the inability to mount an installation ISO and lack of a KVM providing a virtual keyboard (ie. Send Ctrl + Alt + Del, etc.).
WhatUpTime have built special templates allowing Windows to be installed via DigitalOcean’s Recovery ISO; their Recovery ISO is available with all of their droplets, however you need to request it to be mounted via support ticket.
The guide below will walk you through the entire process, from beginning to end. Once you have reached the end of the guide your server will be successfully running Microsoft Windows Operating System.

Sometimes the button for connecting to the computers stops working. If you have tried using the site in Compatibility Mode, made sure the ActiveX component Microsoft RDP Client Control browser add-on is present and enabled and/or added the site to the Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer. It seems that because of the memory use for Exchange and SQL exceeds what is generally available, things get a little messy. Try this workaround and see if it helps:
1. Edit (via Notepad) the file called web.config located in C:\Program Files\Windows Small Business Server\Bin\WebApp\RemoteAccess
2. Find the line (near the bottom):
<serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled=”true” />
3. Replace with:
<serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled=”true” minFreeMemoryPercentageToActivateService=”0” />
4. Save the file
5. Start Command Prompt (with Administrator rights) and type: IISRESET
6. Reload your site on the client computer and try to connect. That’s it!
Sometimes you don’t want the end-user to choose the regional language settings when they start Outlook Web App (OWA – former Outlook Web Access). Luckily there is a way to force user-mailboxes to a predefined language setting, both individual user mailboxes and all users. This can be accomplished by using Exchange Management Shell (EMS – PowerShell) and the command: Get-MailboxRegionalConfiguration and Get-Mailbox.

If your e-mail gets stuck in the Drafts-folder when you try to send an e-mail from either OWA or Outlook, there are a couple of things you should check. I’m guessing you already have checked the settings under ECP – mail flow -> accepted domains/recieve connectors and send connectors. Including the Exchange 2013 Help – Configure Mail Flow and Client Access (TechNet) for any other settings you might have forgotten.

Have you ever wondered how to quantify the benefits of virtualization to your management? If so, please consider using vBenchmark.
vBenchmark measures the performance of a VMware virtualized infrastructure across three categories:
– Efficiency: for example, how much physical RAM are you saving by using virtualization?
– Operational Agility: for example, how much time do you take on average to provision a VM?
– Quality of Service: for example, how much downtime do you avoid by using availability features?

Ever wondered what version of the Microsoft Exchange Server you are running? It can be quite difficult to find it – if you don’t know how and where to look that is.
Here is the easiest way to determine what version you are running:
1. Go to the Exchange Management Shell and type: get-exchangeserver |fl
2. Look where it says: AdminDisplayVersion and take a note of the number, ie Version 14.1 (Build 218.15)
3. Head on over to the Microsoft kb158530
4. Find the correct version number in the list. In this example the correct value is: Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP1 – August 2010
